There are many applications where it is important to have a very early indication that liquid is starting to rise in a containment area.
Air-conditioning and Refrigeration Systems
One example of this is drip trays for air conditioning or refrigeration systems, where there is often minimal space in which to contain condensate before an overflow will occur. A sensor is therefore required to signal with just a few millimetres rise in level and cause a pump to operate and remove the liquid.
Cynergy3 has designed a particular model of vertically mounted float switch (LLF59) that will give a signal indicating as little as 6mm of liquid.
Another example is where security hatches are installed above sensitive liquid containment tanks and it is necessary to have automated alarms to indicate if some liquid is being added that may cause harm.
Cynergy3 has designed a particular model of vertically mounted float switch that will give two signals (LLF69), one at as little as 6mm of liquid and another at 10mm higher. These two signals can be used to automatically calculate the speed of rise in level, which can be interpreted by the alarm system to indicate that an unauthorised addition of liquid to the tanks is being attempted.
