A new range of Intrinsically Safe Pressure Sensors has just been released by Cynergy3 Components Ltd. Launched to extend their already wide range of industrial pressure and depth sensors, the Atex and IECEx approved ranges include low pressure range versions, general industrial pressure ranges as well as a range designed for use with viscous and paste like media.
All have 4-20mA outputs individually calibrated over the specified pressure ranges and each are supplied complete with traceable serial numbers and calibration details.
Manufactured in our own factory in Hampshire, UK, from stainless steel and with piezo resistive ceramic or silicon sensors, they are temperature compensated to ensure accuracy in the widest possible variety of operating conditions.

Cynergy are now launching a brand new range of wireless pressure transmitters and receivers. Based on the popular IPS (Industrial grade) and IPSL (low range) series of pressure sensors, the key benefit of wireless is to avoid long, tortuous or expensive cable runs over larger areas. The transmitters can have a range of up to 750m, and can communicate with either a single-channel or, for multi-measurement systems, five-channel receivers.
With plug and play functionality, setting up the equipment is quick and easy to do, and free configuration software is available for more complex systems.

Cynergy3 Components Announces New Series of Pressure Transducers for North America
Global instrumentation manufacturer to showcase newest pressure sensor technologies at the 2015 Sensors Expo & Conference
Redondo Beach, Calif. – May 27, 2015 – Cynergy3 Components, a world leading manufacturer of liquid level and flow sensors, pressure transducers, high voltage and radio frequency relays, today announced three new ranges of pressure transducers, specifically for industrial markets in North America: Industrial Pressure Sensor Series (IPSU), Low Pressure Range Series (IPSLU) and Externally Mounted Pressure Sensor Series (ILSEU). These, together with Cynergy3’s extensive portfolio of instruments and associated products, will be on show at the 2015 Sensors Expo & Conference, in Long Beach, California June 9-11 at the Long Beach Convention Centre.

Building upon Cynergy3’s success in the sensors business over the last 50 years, the new pressure sensor series include:
- Industrial Pressure Sensor Series: The IPSU series has 34 new products, scaled in ranges from 0-15psi to 0-5800psi and with outputs of 4-20mA, 0-100mV, and 0-5V. They are suitable for use in a wide range of industrial applications. The probe uses a piezo-resistive ceramic sensor, giving excellent media compatibility within a stainless steel housing. The electronics incorporate a microprocessor-based amplifier, requiring no adjusting and giving stable electronics, especially for industrial applications. Each device is temperature compensated, calibrated and supplied with a traceable serial number and calibration certificate.
- Low Pressure Range Series: The IPSLU series has 15 new products, scaled in ranges from 0-1psi to 0-15psi and with outputs of 4-20mA and 0.5-4.5V (3-wire). Also available in Absolute pressure ranges of 0-5 psiA, 0-10 psiA and 0-15 psiA, the IPSLU is suitable for use in a wide range of applications. The pressure sensor uses a piezo-resistive silicon sensor, giving excellent media compatibility within an oil filled 316L stainless steel housing. The electronics incorporate a microprocessor based amplifier, requiring no adjusting and giving stable electronics, especially in high vibration/shock applications. Each pressure sensor is temperature compensated, calibrated and supplied with a traceable serial number and calibration certificate. This device is mounted using its 1/4" NPT male thread. Custom versions can be made for particular applications.
- Externally Mounted Pressure Sensor Series: The ILSEU series has 10 new products, scaled in ranges for 0-48"WG to 0-480"WG and with outputs of 4-20mA and 0.5-4.5V (3-wire). The external mount hydrostatic level pressure transmitter, ILSEU, has a piezo-resistive silicon pressure sensor which is an oil-filled isolated diaphragm. The pressure sensor and housing are made from stainless steel with a choice of internal O ring seals to ensure the product is suitable for a wide range of applications. It has a 1/4" NPT male process connection. Calibration ranges can be in either inchesWG or metresWG scales. The electronics incorporate a microprocessor based amplifier, requiring no adjusting and giving stable electronics, especially in high vibration/shock applications. Every device is temperature compensated, calibrated and supplied with a traceable serial number and calibration certificate.
As with all Cynergy3 pressure transducer products, custom versions of pressure ranges and outputs, process and electrical connections are available to suit various applications.
